I had to laugh when I read this!

You've waited all your life to see it and I've spent all my life shoveling it!

I live in the glorious snowbelt.

It started at 8:45 this morning - little sleet balls that fell for a couple hours, gradually increasing in size giving us a good 3 inches of that crap.  And making it heavy to shovel..

It then turned into snow flakes - then the big fluffy ones.  By 6 PM I was shoveling at least 12 inches. 

Dick the plowdriver went by and buried the ends of the driveways.  We hate that man!  It was hell cleaning that up.

The winds picked up and along with the steady snow we know have blowing snow.  We really enjoy that!  Especially since it is blowing off the lake and that makes it worse.

Right now I have a good 4 to 6 inches waited to be shoveled - and it is still snowing.  To us that is just a dusting of snow.

I'll shovel that about 10 or so tonight - and it will continue to snow.  Dick will be back about 2 AM to get us again.

By 4 AM I will be shoveling again.

About that time it is supposed to begin snowing.  Apparently - this isn't enough for us to be classified as snow for some reason.  Tomorrow we are supposed to get heavy snowfalls of 12 - 18 inches or more.

And of course - more visits by Dick the plowman.

It's normal to have 12 to 14 foot high walls of snow going down each side of your driveway.

When it gets really bad - the guy down the street goes to the city barns and "borrows" a front loader to move snow from one spot to another so we can see something - but it's still all white anyway.  Then the cops make him return it.

We drive on a foot of ice with no problem.  We laugh at all those cities that are totally paralyzed and the cops won't let anyone drive on the roads when they have 1/2 inch of ice or 2 to 3 inches of snow!

Our temps go up to 30 and we have tee shirt weather and drive with the windows down and the radios blasting.

Spring is right around the corner (not any corners in this neighborhood) but I don't think we will see daffodils or tulips.  They are all buried.

As a matter of fact - by Sunday night WE are supposed to be buried under more snow.

So come on up!  Pay a visit.  Spend a winter here.  Betcha never come back!  And bring bull dozers with you!  LOL

So I shall continue to sing that popular song - BURIED IN A WINTER WONDERLAND!  LOL
