HACKERS

Oh how I just love reading the headlines in the paper in the morning!

The hackers did it again - got the credit card numbers and passwords to 41 million people and sold them.

And many of the stores that they listed fell victim to this before.  What happened to their new security features so that this does not happen?

Of course - I shop and I use my card (debit card which is worse in my eyes than a credit card) in several of those stores.

For peace of mind - I visited my bank today - had them cancel out my debit card completely - my card and information won't do anyone any good.

I can wait the 7 to 10 days for a new card.

But atleast I don't have to worry.

Looks like I am going to return to the ways of the old days - pay cash for everything.

No headaches that way.

I've done away with all credit cards because of the way things are with the economy and the high interest - I thought I was doing something right.

But from here on in - CASH!  I think some people will remember those little pieces of paper that are now beginning to look more like Canadian currency (LOL) and those little round things that jingle in your pocket!

That really stinks.   I never use my debit card for any purchases.  At least with a credit card, you can report it stolen and you won't be liable.  If they get your debit card, they're taking cash straight from your account.

Sorry to hear about this.
