YEP YEP YEP!
Not only is it the "unofficial" end of summer with Labor Day on Monday - but this is our CHICKEN WING SUPERBOWL WEEKEND!
Visitors travel from all over the U.S. and Canada to sample the amazingly different chicken wing stands at Dunn Tire Park.
Of course - we are the chicken wing capital of the world with the ORIGINAL BUFFALO WINGS - but as time has passed and the imitators have tried to duplicate, copy or come up with something better - so there are many different types of wings that will be available.
We've got 25,000 pounds of chicken wings to start with, another 15,000 for back-up, and our local chicken wing producers hoping those all sell out the first day (which usually happens) so they can sell more and make $$$$$$$$$$$.
Vendors from all over the country will be there - all with their own versions of flavorful and delicious wings. Many flavoring their wings with the delicious flavors of their region.
BUT NONE OF THEM WILL EVER MATCH OUR ORIGINAL BUFFALO WINGS - no matter how hard they try. We are still #1!
So tens of thousands of chickens have sacrificed their wings for this marvelous event!
Gastrointestinal heaven for 3 days!
And I can't wait to see who is going to win this years chicken wing eating contest!!!!!!
So drive on over and enjoy them all - from the mild to the super nuclear/suicidal and the BBQ as well as the regional flavors!
