Ingredients:
1 20oz. Can of Pineapple Chunks in juice
1 bag "Red Hots" or "Cinnamon Imperials" Candy
Drain the juice from the pineapples (squeezing like you would a can of tuna) and put the pineapples in a quart container with a lid. Put the juice in a small saucepan over a medium flame. Empty bag of red hots candy into the juice and heat until the candy is dissolved. This can take several minutes. Once dissolved, pour over the pineapples and let cool before putting the lid on and storing in the refridgerator until the pineapples turn red. This can take several days. Serve as a side dish to everything from turkey to prime rib. It's wonderful any time, but is perfect for the holidays. Enjoy

My Comments:
This recipe is from a dear family friend. She has been making it for her annual traditional curry dinners since I was a child a million years ago.
The red hots really make this dish. It is sweet and cinnamony and spicy, like the candy but add the sweet citrus of the pineapple and you have a winning flavor combination.
I can't make enough of this dish for my family. They snack on it too.
In the picture, it's the dish on the left with the red juice, nearest my Mimosa!
