½ cup flour
1½ cups corn meal
1 cup sour milk
1 egg
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon soda
1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons shortening
3 tablespoons sorghum
Place all ingredients in a pan and beat together. Put in well greased pan and bake until done. (Time and temperature not given nor was shortening used.)
