4 c. chopped apples
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped pecans
2 1/4 c. flour
nutmeg and ginger to taste
Combine apples and sugar Let stand. Beat eggs slightly. Beat in oil and vanilla. Mix and sift dry ingredients. Stir alternately with apple mixture. Stir in nuts. Batter is stiff. Pour into greased and floured 13x9 pan. Bake 350 degrees 30 minutes. Frezes well
Topping: 1/4 c. margarine, 14/c milk, 1 c. brown sugar. Cook and pour over hot cake.
