Applesauce Meatloaf


Ingredients:


2 lb Ground Beef or Meatloaf Mix


1 Medium Onion - Chopped


Parsley - Fresh, Chopped or Dried - To Taste


2 Eggs


1/2 Cup Milk


1/2 - 1 Cup Plain Breadcrumbs


1 Tbs Minced Garlic


1 Cup Applesauce, Plain or Flavored (ie, Raspberry)


Salt and Fresh Ground Black Pepper, To Taste


Procedure:


Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees


Saute Onions and Garlic til onions are Translucent.


Combine all ingredients in Mixing Bowl til thoroughly combined.


Add Milk and/or Breadcrumbs to desired consistency.


Add Applesauce To Taste.


Place in Casserole Dish.


Score center, lengthwise to 1/4 - 1/2 inch depth.


Fill center score with Applesauce.


Bake, uncovered in 350 Degree Oven for 30 - 45 min, until cooked through.


Remove from Oven and drain excess grease!!


Let stand 5 - 10 Minutes.


Slice, Serve and Enjoy!!

My Comments:
This is an old family recipe for the moistest meatloaf you will ever enjoy! My family enjoys this with Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes and Succotash.
