Barbecued French Bread

Makes 1 loaf

Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1-1/2 teaspoons TABASCOŽ brand Pepper Sauce
1 large loaf French bread
Grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 400°F. Melt butter in medium saucepan over
medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir about 3 minutes.
Stir in chili sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard and TABASCOŽ
Sauce; simmer about 5 minutes or until mixture thickens.

Cut French bread diagonally into 3/4-inch slices, almost but not
