2 cups walnuts
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
salt
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Butter large baking pan (I use parchment paper or wax paper too)
Combine nuts, sugar and water in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir until mixture crystallizes, about 15 minutes. Spread nuts on the prepared baking pan and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 15 minutes. Turn with an oiled metal spatuala and bake an additional 15 minutes. Cool and store in an airtight container.
