Chicken on Cornbread
Make a batter of 1 pint cornmeal 1 tsp soda 1 cup buttermilk 2 beaten eggs 1 Tsp melted Crisco 1 tsp salt Bake at 350 until done.
Place one thick slice of chicken between a square of cornbread that has been split.
Sauce to pour over the cornbread. 1 stick butter 2 Tsp celery flakes 4 Tsp flour 3 cups of chicken broth ¾ cup of cream Cook until thick and then add 4 Tsp of chopped parsley
