Title: Chocolate Strawberry Cobbler
Date: 05/12/2008 12:21:34
Posted by: juana_cookie
2 large packages of fresh strawberries, sliced
1½ cups bittersweet chocolate baking chips
sugar to taste
1-2 Tablespoons of cornstarch
1 pkg. Grands (flakey) Biscuits
2 Tablespoons melted butter
a mixture of cinnamon and sugar for dusting

Slice the strawberries, and mix well with the sugar to bring out the juices.  Add the cornstarch and mix well again.  Fold in the chocolate chips.  Set aside.
Separate Each biscuit into about 3 layers (this makes the biscuits very thin).  In the bottom of a 9 X 13 pan, sprayed with cooking spray, lay out half of the separated biscuits to cover the bottom of the pan.  Spread the strawberry and chocolate chip mixture over it.  Top with remaining biscuit pieces.  Brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.  Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.  Serve warm, topped with whipped cream.

My Comments:
Original recipe. This is so good, served warm...it's like chocolate dipped strawberries, without the mess! When cold, the chocolate chips solidify again, creating a whole different texture (still good, but I prefer it warm!).
