1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1/2 dried tart cherries
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 Tbsp. crystallized ginger, chopped
Pinch of salt
1 bag fresh cranberries (12-oz.)
Boil sugar, water, cherries, lime juice and ginger in a saucepan over medium high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add cranberries and simmer until berries burst and sauce thickens, about 8 minutes. chill at least 2 hours before serving.
Makes 2 1/2 cups
