Title: Crock pot German-Style Green Beans

  • 2 (14 ounce) cans green beans, with liquid or 1 1/2 lbs fresh steamed green beans
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, reserve drippings
  • 3 tablespoons bacon drippings(optional)
  • 6 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
Cut cooked bacon into half inch pieces.

Place all ingredients in a small crock pot including some of the bacon drippings (optional).

Cook on low 6-8 hours. The longer the beans cook, the more flavorful they are.
My Comments:
I found this on the internet as I have been doing some German influenced dishes. I had these with smoked ribs Sunday, very flavorful.
