Ingredients: 1 chicken, 2 tbsps vegetable oil, 1 tbsp whole cumin seeds, 1 tbsp cumin powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, salt to taste, 1 cup water.
Garnish: 2 onions sliced finely, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves, 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies (chilli peppers)
Method: Heat the oil. When hot, add the whole cumin seeds and stir for one minute. Then add the chicken, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and pepper and mix well. Add half cup water, cover and cook over medium heat stirring occasionally till chicken is done. While the chicken is cooking, lightly saute the onions in a little oil till translucent, add the chopped coriander leaves and green chilli. Mix well and remove from heat. Keep aside but do not cover.
When the chicken is done, add the garnish, spoon on to the dish and serve with nice hot bread.
