Melt together in covered small microwave-safe bowl 1 cube butter or
margarine and 1/2 c. honey. Dump into large foil roasting pan:
6 c. old-fashioned oats
6 c. wheat flakes
1 c. unsweetened coconut
1 c. oat or miller's bran
2 c. sunflower seeds
3 c. wheat germ
1 1/2 c. sesame seeds
1 c. almonds, sliced or chunks
Pour melted margarine and honey over cereals in pan and mix in. Bake at 300 for 1 hr., stirring every 30 min. Add 1 1/2 c. raisins as soon as baked granola is removed from oven. After granola has cooled completely, store in tightly covered containers in pantry. Note: I often double this recipe.
