Title: Gifts from the Heart. Candied Tea Stirrers
Date: 10/31/2007 23:55:07
Posted by: Blackwolf

Vegetable cooking spray
like Pam — NOT butter-flavored)

34 pieces fruit-flavored hard candy (about 1-inch in diameter) crushed

(Life Savers or similar candy)

2 Tablespoons light corn syrup

Heavyweight plastic spoons
( if you get the clear rather than the white all the better. ) Makes a much prettier stirrer.

Line a jelly roll pan with waxed paper. Spray with cooking spray. In
a small heavy saucepan, combine crushed candies and corn syrup over
low heat. Stirring frequently, heat until candies melt. Spoon candy
into bowl of each spoon. Place spoons on prepared pan with handles on
rim and spoons level. Allow candy to harden. Wrap with cellophane or plastic wrap and tie with a small bow on handle.Store in an airtight
container. Makes about 24 spoons.
My Comments:
Any tea lover will absolutely love these and the fact that you made them gets you extra points.
