This recipe came from my 7th grade Home Ec Class, many years ago. Our teacher said it was an old family recipe.
My notes: I have trouble handling this dough to roll it out—it always seems a little sticky. I roll it into logs, wrap with wax paper and chill in the freezer, then slice and bake.
For holiday cookies, use shaped cookie cutters and decorate with colored sugar or as desired. Use your imagination.
