1.  1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream and 1/4 cup buttermilk or 1 cup sour cream.
2.  Warm whipping cream in med saucepan to 105 degrees.
3.  Combine whipping cream and buttermilk well in glass jar and cover.  Allow to sit at  room temp 8-10 hours.
4.  Refrigerate and use within 10 days.
TIPS:
1.  Use as thickener for soups or sauces.
2.  Spoon over fresh fruits, puddings or warm cobblers.
3.  Can be used in boiled recipes as it will not curdle.
My Comments:
Excellent over vegetables such as asparagus. May season with nutmeg if used as a dessert topping. Can be used in desserts instead of whipped cream. It is thick with a slightly nutty sour taste.
