1½ Cup Cornmeal ½ Cup Flour 2½ Teaspoon Baking Powder 1½ Teaspoon Salt 1 Teaspoon Pepper 1/3 Cup Sugar 1 Egg – beaten 3 Tablespoons Oil 2-4 Large Jalapeno Peppers – finely chopped 1 &nb sp; Teaspoon Jalapeno Juice 2 &nb sp; Bunches of green onions – finely chopped Add enough milk to make it mushy · Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper and sugar. · Stir in onion, milk, egg, oil, peppers and jalapeno juice until well blended. · Put in a plastic container and freeze for several days. · Fry at 350 degrees in deep hot oil. Spoon out in teaspoon size balls. · Fry each hush puppy about 3 minutes or until golden brown. Turn once during cooking Makes 30-35 hush puppies
