Lime or lemon Ice Cubes


2 medium limes or lemons


1 qt. water


1/4 cup lime or lemon juice


1.  cut each lime or lemon into 1/4in. thick slices, cut each side into wedges.


2.  Stir together  1 qt. water and 1/4 cup lime or lemon juice.  fill each compartment of 3 ice cub rays evenly with lime or lemon juice mixture.  Place 1 lime or lemon wedge each ice cub compartment.  Freeze 8 hours or until firm.


Lemonade


1/2 cup water


1 to 1-1/2 cup sugar


1 Tbsp. grated lemon zest


1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice


7 cups ice water


1.  Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan.  Stir in sugar and grated lemon zest, stirring until sugar is dissolved, remove from heat.  Stir in lemon juice and ice water.


Limeade


Substitute 1 Tbsp. grated lime zest for lemon zest and 1 1/2 cup fresh lime juice for lemon juice and proceed with recipe as directed.
