1½ cups flour ½ cup vegetable oil 1 teaspoon sugar ½ teaspoon salt 3 Tablespoons cold milk
Place all the dry ingredients in your pie plate. Mix together. Pour in oil and milk, and stir together with a fork. Using your hands, press the dough into place. Use for making custard or other "one crust" pies.
My Comments:
It took me a long time to "try" this recipe. When I finally did, I've never gone back to making one pie pie crusts any other way. This crust "stands up" to custard based pies, and remains crisp on the bottom. I always use a glass pie plate, when baking this crust.
