Pizza Breadsticks
This is nice to make when making homemade French bread - I will make one loaf of French bread and use the rest for this recipe. If you don't make your own bread dough you can use frozen/thawed.
12 oz. French bread dough
1 Tablespoon olive oil 2 garlic cloves, pressed or finely minced
1/2 Cup shredded mozzarella cheese or provolone cheese
1/3 Cup grated Percorino Roman or Parmesan/Romano
1 Teaspoon dried oregano
8 oz pizza sauce or tomato sauce with Italian Seasoning and basil added
Preheat the oven to 375°F
Pat the dough over the bottom of a 12x15-inch baking sheet with sides. Brush with the olive oil. Spread the garlic evenly over the prepared layer. Sprinkle with the cheese, grated cheese and oregano.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.
Heat sauce. Cut the baked layer into long strips with a pizza cutter. Serve with the warm pizza sauce.
